My Story

I’m a public transit and urban planning research consultant with over 15 years of experience in both professional and academic settings. My expertise lies in knowledge of global best practices, supported by data-driven analyses of transportation projects and networks.
A strong background in both theory and practice allows me to excel at connecting complex research and analysis with real-world applications. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Geographic Analysis from Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University) and a Masters of Science in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Amsterdam. I’ve also had the privilege of being published and having presented on quantitative analysis of transit networks at a number of conferences.
My career includes a variety of hands-on roles while working as a Senior Advisor at Metrolinx, the transportation planning and operating authority for the Greater Toronto and Hamilton area. During that time, I contributed to the development of data analytics tools, communication strategies, enterprise information technology initiatives, as well as project evaluation frameworks for large-scale transit projects.
As our growing population becomes increasingly urbanized, new challenges have arisen. We can elevate the discussion around transit and urban planning so we can take on these challenges in a way that maximizes the potential for a positive outcome. The potential for high-quality public transportation, well-design urban spaces, and responsive planning policies to improve people’s lives cannot be understated!
